My name is Cleophus Paige.

I'm a storyteller, a grandfather, a homesteader, and a firm believer that most of life's problems can be 

made smaller with a good cup of coffee and honest conversation.

I've discovered that some of life's greatest adventures aren't found on distant mountains or across

the ocean. They're found on front porches, around family dinner tables, in old barns, quiet woods, 

and in conversations with people who still know how to listen.

I write about ordinary things because ordinary life is where extraordinary moments usually hide.

Here you will find stories about family, friendship, faith, coffee, hard work, growing older, and grandchildren, chickens that refuse to cooperate, and those little lessons life quietly teaches if we're paying attention.

You will also hear a good deal about The Land of Galt. 

It isn't marked on most maps.

It's a place where neighbors still wave, a handshake still means something, hard work is respected, and common sense still has a home. It is a place for folks that have had enough of chaos, confusion, 

internet passwords that require at least 8 characters, one capital letter, one digit, and a special character, and are tired of other people telling them how they should live.

Whether it's a real place or simply a different way of looking at the world.... I'll let you decide.
